The Government of India has officially launched a new digital infrastructure initiative aimed at strengthening broadband connectivity across rural and semi-urban regions. The project focuses on expanding fiber networks, improving mobile coverage, and enhancing digital public services.
Officials stated that the initiative will help boost digital literacy, support startups, and improve online education and healthcare services. The program is expected to create thousands of jobs and strengthen India’s position as a global digital leader.
The rollout will begin in selected states before expanding nationwide.
